Gunfire 76 – Casualties and Tragedies

by Christophe

Gunfire 76 is the new project of Murderdolls-mastermind Wednesday 13. He concocted the idea of a glammy, punky rock 'n roll band with none less than Todd Youth (you know, the dude from Murphy's Law, Danzig, The Chelsea Smiles). Todd never made it to the studio due to other engagements, but he did write parts of the music. And that's good.

Also, Gunfire 76 is a lot better than Wednesday 13's previous idea... Bourbon Crow. Because boy did that suck or what?

So you might say that mister 13 sort of redeems himself. And he does so with a very accessible record that holds the middle between Kiss and The Stooges. Well, of lesser quality of course. No one can top either of those legends. But “Casualties and Tragedies” is a fun record to listen to. Not great, but fun.
Score: 6,5/10
