- by ThomasIt was a sad day for punkrock when The Ergs called it quits. Luckily some of them got together to form a new band called Night Birds. They’ve since been steadily releasing 7” and are about to unleash their first full-length. It’s called “The Other Side Of Darkness” and comes with 13 songs (lucky 13) that will kick your ass.
It sounds like some sort of lo-fi punk/hardcore/garage/surf mutation that rocks from start to finish with the title track and “Paranoid Times” as some of my personal favorites. Think of Adolescents playing Dick Dale and you’ll get the gist of it.
