What once was the emperor of the Mongol empire, is now the name of the band started by a bunch of long-haired dudes freaking on acid in the city of San Francisco. Maybe they should drop these guys in Afghanistan because the original didn’t have quite as many problems keeping that country calm as the US military today.
On “Hey You!” they don’t inspire quite as much fear as their predecessor but they still rock pretty convincingly with their 3-minute bluesy garagerock cuts. It’s nothing more than it pretends to be and it sounds like it was recorded on the other end of a telephone line yet I still kinda like it for its straightforwardness.
