Okay, so the artwork is as cliché as the music but damn, these songs rock pretty hard! Sweden’s The Knockouts sound not that different from that other punkabilly band, The Living End, but I’m thinking that’s not really such a bad thing, right? They might not be quite up to that band’s level but the horns-enhanced “Under The Light” or the country-infused “Ever Been Hurt?” are pretty solid in their own right. With this kind of music, especially with a vocalist like this one, the ghost of the mighty Social D is never too far away either.
So The Knockouts aren’t exactly what you’d call original but damn, these songs rock pretty hard! Or did I already mention that?
