Some of Denver, CO’s finest (former members of The Blackout Pact, Ghost Buffalo, Pinhead Circus,…) joined hands and somehow still found a way to play their instruments under the moniker Only Thunder. On “Lower Bounds” they live up to their name with eleven hardhitting tunes that are as powerful as they are melodic.
They have all of the passion and grit that Hot Water Music has going on and then juxtapose it against some more moody, atmospheric parts (like the opening of “Fucking Your Way To The Middle”). The result is an impressive full-length that boils, burns and sizzles that will make you yell out loud and turn your insides in a knot. Kinda like those spicy shrimp I had for dinner last night which also caused only thunder!
