A Stained Glass Romance – It’s Not A Party Without Us
First of all… what the fuck is up with this band’s name? How moronic can things get exactly? A Stained Glass Romance? I mean, come on! Anyway, this North Carolina-based outfit has been around since 2001 after having previously spent time in acts such as ARIA, Winter Solstice, Stronghold and Splitcast. They already dropped an EP on Four Leaf Recordings back in 2003 and it took them another five years to record their first full-length.
God knows what they’ve been doing all that time because “It’s Not A Party Without Us” is filled with the kind of formulaic metalcore/deathcore that bands should be able to write within five minutes flat. That’s including the 30 seconds it takes to come up with lame song titles such as “Brad Pitt (Two Four Letter Words I Don’t Mind)” or “No Way Jose Canseco”.
Score: 4 out of 10
