- by ThomasLooking at the cover, I thought I was going to hear a mix of pop-punk and hardcore and that’s exactly what you get from These Hearts. It’s just unfortunate that it’s not a very good mix. On the one hand you get uninspired poppy parts with a whiny, high-pitched vocalist, on the other hand there are some heavy breakdowns that serve absolutely no purpose and which don’t fit the songs. At all. This is kiddie punk made for and by children and has absolutely no redeeming value whatsoever. The one point they do get is for the song title “Denial Is Not Just A River In Egypt”.
