Somewhere between metal and hard rock you’ll find Another Black Day. These Florida natives play a powerful and hard-hitting bunch of songs on their self-titled debut that got my attention. The rhythm section is a sturdy one, the guitars like to shred and vocalist Matthew Wilkof has a voice that’s damn impressive. One moment he sounds like that guy from Disturbed and when his voice is off to another big chorus, you’d swear that Bruce Dickinson started a new band.
The songs might tend to sound alike after a while but I had a good time listening to cuts like “Wicked Soul” and “Crawling” and I’m sure a lot of metalheads will agree!
