With a name like Elvis Deluxe I was expecting two geeks and some electronics unleashing crappy elektro versions of The King’s songs. Fortunately for me, these guys have the kind of amps that go up to 11 so they can blast out all their stoner riffs in all their splendid grandeur.
These guys sound like they came straight out of the desert following in the footsteps of Kyuss but instead they call Poland home. They’ve got tons of laidback groove, a singer who has the voice to go with this kind of music, a sturdy rhythm section and most important, they have the power of the riff down pat. Whick makes “Lazy” an album that’s okay in my book.
