I was once thinking about starting this extremely brutal band and then calling it Cute Is What We Aim For. Alas, the name was already taken and now I find myself listening to the band’s second album which indeed sounds very cute and poppy. I know what you’re thinking… GAY!
But not really. Turns out Cute Is What We Aim For is no longer the same band they were on “The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch”. Instead they delivered a poppy album with “Rotation” that yes, still has a lot of songs that deal with girls and yes, still has very shitty lyrics. But unlike most of the Fueled By Ramen or Decaydance acts, they are not trying to sound like Panic At The Disco which is something to be admired. And it’s ridiculously catchy. And I’m in a good mood. Hence…
