Memphis May Fire – S/T EP

Memphis May Fire out of Dallas, TX has been making a name for themselves for a while already. In the end it was Trustkill who gave these guys a chance with this first 5-song EP as a result. On it you’ll hear a lot of screamo not unlike From Autumn To Ashes with clean vocals and screams aplenty. The catch is though that Memphis May Fire remember their roots and chose to inject a couple of their songs with Southern rock riffs. It does give the band a little extra and I’m pretty sure we’ll see them getting a lot bigger once their full-length hits stores. Personally I’d like to see things switched around with a lot more Southern rock and just a twist of screamo… kinda like what Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster does. Not too shabby for a first attempt though!
