The So So Glos are four brothers out of Brooklyn who have either spent a lot of time listening to their Richard Hell and The Clash albums or they went to one too many Strokes or Libertines shows. The only thing that saves this self-titled album from being a total miss is that they are obviously a good time and okay, they are pretty good at what they do. Especially on cuts like “From Her Beacon Hand, Glos” or on the ska-tinged “Junkie Story”. But really, who’s still waiting for yet another band that sounds like the abovementioned acts?
