Started by ex-Life In Your Way’s Corey Stroffolino, The Attending dropped a fairly enjoyable album on Blood & Ink Records called “Are You Watching Closely?”. The seven songs on here sound good enough with some intricate guitarwork, sweet vocals and plenty of start/stop action to keep things interesting throughout.
While there’s nothing really wrong with this album, the main problem is that bands like Minus The Bear and especially Brand New have already done this and did it in a more engaging way. If you’re into those bands, feel free to check out The Attending. Just don’t watch too closely despite what the album title says.
