Dunderbeist is a Norwegian band that has released a solid album with “Black Arts & Crooked Tails”. While the band name and album title might led you to believe that this is another black metal album, Dunderbeist’s sound is more of a mix of grunge, bombastic rock a la Muse, heavy metal alongside some Marilyn Manson influences in songs like “Winter Past”. It makes for a rich sound that shines even more thanks to Alan Douches’ magical touch.
While they originally started out with Norwegian lyrics, they have since switched to English. With that out of the way, I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t make any international waves.
