“Cycles Of Light”… my ass! This album is pitch fucking dark. The intro alone made me reach for my Prozac and things don’t exactly brim with happiness after that. Everything Went Black (that’s a name that suits them!) starts their album off with some sweet sludge before launching into a scathing metalcore attack. And I don’t mean the ‘doesn’t my ass look too small in these skinny jeans’ type metalcore. Nope, this is pure hardcore with some metal injections… raw, nasty and abrasive with the occasional atmospheric part before flying off the handle again Cursed-style.
