On “Sleep Well”, Electric President revisits their debut album. Which means it’s good but they played it kinda safe. This indietronic duo consists of Ben Cooper and Alex Cane and they’re really good at churning out these atmospheric, sometimes haunting electronic pop gems with vocals that bring Death Cab For Cutie to mind. They call Florida home and I can just see them coming up with these songs while watching the old people shuffle through their retirement community. My favorite songs on here would have to be “All The Bones” which has guitars going off in all directions a la Explosions In The Sky and the Mogwai-like (if they would use falsetto vocals) “We Will Walk Through Walls”. Great album to listen to in the middle of the night when you feel like the last person awake.
