With some of their more recent releases (Heartsounds, Off With Their Heads, Bad Religion), Epitaph proved that they still know what solid punkrock sounds like. But that’s not the only kind of music they’ve been releasing these past couple of years.
Take the youngsters that make up Our Last Night for example. On “We Will All Evolve” (makes sense if your vocalist is only 17 years old) these guys do the whole grunts vs. clean vocals thing, complete with metallic riffage and nifty haircuts. It doesn’t affect me in any way but they’re definitely not the worst band in the scene.
